If Pa had sent Luther for the sheriff right away, the sheriff would have arrested the Cooks. They might have gone to jail, but Pa would not have gotten his money back. Instead, Pa tricked Calvin Sr. and got his money back. Do you think he did the right thing? Was it fair to call the sheriff in the end?

I think pa did the right thing by
telling the Cooks to pay or the sheriff would come. The Cooks stole the turkeys so it was okay for Pa to get the money and send the Cooks to jail.
Yes, I think that Pa did the right thing by calling the sheriff and getting the money from the turkey thieves because they stole the
